BIRKAN GROUP makes a successful debut at FachPack
The first joint exhibit at the Nuremberg FachPack since BIRKAN and HANS KAPPL became partners proved to be extremely successful.
This was the first time that the two firms now operating under the umbrella of the BIRKAN GROUP had shared a booth at a trade show. FachPack, which was staged from September 29 to October 1, 2015, offered excellent conditions for this new collaboration. For one thing, the highly diversified packaging manufacturing and printing products in the companies’ respective portfolios complement each other perfectly. For another, the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre is situated more or less on HANS KAPPL’s doorstep. This is probably one reason why so many customers from the local region – plus a good few more from farther afield, of course – accepted the invitation to visit the BIRKAN GROUP’s maiden stand in the Centre’s modern, spacious Hall 7A.
The carefully planned concept for the trade fair provided a fitting framework: Each partner’s corporate design was visually integrated (Motto 1: "Diversity meets precision") and a strong spotlight was cast on core products. The joint exhibit was brought to life by a short, but cleverly designed, laser show above visitors’ heads, brand new printing plate samples to take away, a broad selection of packaging printing blankets and packaging samples – not just for looking at but also to feel – and last but not least a cheerful "mixed" crew representing both Upper Bavaria and Franconia.
The subject of the laser show, which could be clearly seen even from a distance, was laser engraved elastomer plates – one of the highlights of the product presentation (Motto 2: "On-the-dot solutions. Excellent flexo plates."). Interested visitors had a chance to see for themselves what amazing precision they achieve from a foil sample produced specially for FachPack as well as from various original plates.
The teams from both companies were able to report numerous new contacts and a lot of positive feedback from existing clients. They are already looking forward to joining forces again at Drupa 2016!

Folabase 48 replaces H45. For a quarter of a century now, Folabase underpacking foils have been taking the international cylinder market by storm. Folex have just launched an upgrade for their classic self-adhesive Folabase H45 and H45 RB foils: Folabase H48 and Folabase H48 RB. The new foils are protected by corrosion-inhibiting additives and feature a revolutionary red adhesive that makes applying and removing them to and from the cylinder easier than ever – at unchanged prices.
