For high speed and wide format heatset presses

BIRKAN 5700 has been specially designed for the high requirements in heatset printing with wide formats and high speeds. This blanket excels in consistent register at all speeds, a trouble free printing process and high durability.

Key to this is the compressible layer integrating a new revolutionary technology, which delivers consistent print pressure even at high speed and across all press widths. Targeted web feed characteristics equalise web tension between units and reduce stress on lighter weight stocks. Reduction of web feed differential between units helps control power consumption and can extend plate life. The controlled compressibility improves the ink transfer. The print area is maximized to the gap.

Furthermore, a specially formulated face compound of revised polymers produces, in combination with a smooth surface finish, consistent gauge and the same controlled dot gain on A & B cylinders. The surface is easy to clean and resists ghosting as well as edge cutting.

The pretensioned waterproof fabrics protect the blanket against chemical ingress and fount penetration.
