BIRKAN Senator Black UV
Resistant blanket for highly reactive UV ink systems
BIRKAN Senator Black UV meets the requirements of modern UV offset printing in more than one respect. On the one hand it is characterised by its extremely high compressibility, which is based on a double compressible layer and an innovative microsphere system. This compressible layer has excellent rebound characteristics and smash resistance. It reduces vibration stripes and also allows for the blanket to follow the contours of the substrate.
On the other hand, the unique black top rubber compound ensures excellent swelling and abrasion resistance with UV inks and washing solvents, especially with highly reactive UV ink systems.
The finely ground surface provides perfect print results with very sharp screen and smooth solid tones as well as high print contrast with all paper types and thicknesses.
Last but not least, the high-quality, three-ply carcass guarantees low stretch and very good tension behaviour. BIRKAN Senator Black UV thus offers all the prerequisites for a wide range of applications in UV offset printing – including printing on cardboard and metal sheets.
