Compressible underpacking tailored to your thickness needs
Varnishing blankets and plates are usually provided with flexible underpackings to achieve the required mounting height. Unfortunately, these have to be re-mounted each time the coating form is changed.
An underpacking for the coating form cylinder virtually eliminates this tiresome task because it can remain on the cylinder for long periods without any problems – usually at least six months. The time saving is considerable as only the varnishing blanket or plate is changed. What’s more, this innovative underpacking helps protect your coating forms and compensates any thickness differences. The quality of your varnishing result is visibly enhanced.
BIRKAN makes an underpacking that is carefully tailored to your individual application – all you have to do is tell us the required undercut and the thickness of your coating form, then choose between a self-adhesive or non-adhesive version. We take care of the rest – from our broad assortment of compressible blankets, underlay blankets and self-adhesive foils, we compose and laminate the optimum thickness.
