BIRKAN Senator Top bears its name rightly: With outstanding print results, excellent durability and high cost-effectiveness, this printing blanket leads to higher performance in the pressroom.
The microground surface is designed for use with conventional inks (on a limited base, alternate use with UV inks is possible) and results in cleanest dot reproduction and excellent ink transfer.
The distinctive feature of BIRKAN Senator Top is the blanket‘s extremely high compressibility. Key to this is a newly developed, double compressible layer which is based on an innovative microsphere system. It has excellent rebound characteristics and allows for the blanket to follow the contours of the substrate, which is highly valuable in certain carton printing applications.
Increased resistance to edge marking and smashes is also part of the blanket‘s strengths.
The carcass has a 3-ply construction. It is extremely stable, with only low elongation values, and ensures optimum feeding characteristics.
